Hello and welcome!
A little about myself. I got my flight experience in Malaysia and the US before making my way to Canada to start my aviation career where things really took off — pun intended.
My path to where I am today, the right seat of a King Air, wasn’t a straight line. I’ve sat in the left seat doing things that don’t make it onto a typical pilot resume. Fire patrols, air taxi runs into and out of the bush, dropping skydivers out of perfectly good airplanes and ferrying aircraft across the country for customers. In between all of that — instructing.
Watching student pilots go from white-knuckled on their first lesson to confident on their first solo never gets old. It still doesn’t.
These days I’m a full-time First Officer on a King Air with a regional operator in Canada. There are still lots of interesting stories in this line of work — and plenty of things I’m still learning to become a safer pilot than I was yesterday.
NimbusAloft is where I write about all of it. Not the textbook version — the real version. The stuff that happens after you pass your checkride and the real flying begins.
If you’re a student pilot, thinking about flying in Canada, or just someone who finds this life interesting — pull up a chair. Feel free to drop a comment on any post or DM me on Instagram for a chat.
Hope you enjoy my blog and happy reading 😆
Blue skies, Nimbus Aloft
